This study reports the development of a transition metal chalcogenides (TMCs) heterostructure photosystem that enhances solar-powered CO2 conversion to hydrocarbon fuels by utilizing a solid non-conjugated polymer as a hole-relaying mediator and an amorphous oxygen-containing cobalt sulfide as a terminal hole-collecting reservoir, improving charge transport kinetics and separation efficiency.
